In All of Time & Space, Where do we start?

It had been a very busy week for the Time Lady and she just wanted to sit back and relax. But.. much like her Ada, the Time Lady couldn’t, it was in her blood to keep moving, to be doing something productive. Of course, not wanting anything too strenuous she circled the main console of her TARDIS. “Hmm, where should we go today, Diva?” with being mentally connected to her Time Lady, the TARDIS brought up a digital screen that worked as a roulette “Exactly wha’ I was thinkin’, good girl” beamed the female. With a spin, Kosima’s lips tugged into a grin “Mystrilla? Oh I haven’ been there since I was a wee lass! Well then, My Diva, Andiamo!!” she grinned as the coordinates were set and flipped the lever. Yet, to her surprise, nothing happened. Which immediately got her hearts racing “… wh-wha’?” the question itself escaped her as panic struck. For in an instant the warm golden glow of her TARDIS faded as the vessel powered down. Crystalline glasz hues widened “..no… Diva?!!!” the feeling of worry drained her energy and in a heartbeat she scrambled to the door in an attempt to get it open but to no avail. They’d been just about to launch into the vortex meaning those doors wouldn’t open for anything.

Only then, when the door didn’t open, did her blood run completely ice cold as her body slid down the door itself until she was sitting upon the floor. Glasz hues glancing about the TARDIS, her mind running rampant, attempting to grasp onto a solution of any kind. When nothing came she rested her head against her knees, having hugged them to her chest as she closed her eyes and went silent. Though a spark of comfort washed through in an instant “Kosima! Are you alrigh’?!” the voice of her Papa sounded through her watch across the room from her bag, it had been broken for nearly a month, how was this possible?

Hearing the Doctor’s voice eased Kosima to her soul as tears of emotion welled within her eyes instantly. The Time Lady scrambled to her satchel and yanked out her watch “Papa! I don’ know wha’s goin’ on! Wha’s happenin?!” terror laced in her vocals as she clutched onto the metal device for dear life.

“It’s alrigh’, my Princess, you’re safe.” his voice soothed her a tad but not much “Your father jolted from a vision not too long ago, in which he saw you were in danger, under attack. The Sivek … but we’ve intercepted before they could finish. Your Father is keepin’ them at bay while I transfer power from the Ol’ Girl to Diva.”

“… The Sivek? …” she’d only ever heard of them in fairy tales when she was a young time tot. “… Are you alrigh’ Papa? Is Ada?” but there was no response which caused her hearts to drop to her stomach “Papa?!?!!!”

Static sounded not to long after, but the sound of The Master’s voice came over the line “My Angel, listen to me.” a warmth swarmed through her form at the sound of her Ada’s voice. As he spoke agaain, the core of her TARDIS began to glow a bright shade of gold as if life was breathed back into her circuitry “I’m sending what’s left of Lena’s energy as well as some of my own. It should be enough to get you to safety.” and when he spoke those words her tears broke free from her eyes “Fear not, everything will be fine. Diva will just need to rest upon landing. Just remember this, my Kosima. Be strong, you can do this, we have complete faith in you, My Angel. Remember that we love you, Kosima.” and as the connection faded to silence, the TARDIS roared with an energy and took off on auto-pilot.

Breaking through the barrier, the TARDIS soared through the air faster than Kosima ever thought possible, breaking the sound barrier at a much higher octave than anything man-made. Though dread seeped through her to her very core as the entire console room was blanketed in a crimson glow “.. No .. No no no no!!” the Time Lady was on her feet and racing for the console. Moving quickly, she began to throw up the ship’s shields, all that she had and then braced for impact. Which was much harder of a impact than she’d expected, for the moment Diva made contact with the surface it was enough of a force to send the petite frame flying across the room and slamming against the protective railing.

For a moment, Kosima’s vision spun as her eyes closed tight “… Damn it..” she could hear Diva in a weak chime, urging the Time Lady to move. With groan, Kosima pushed herself to her feet “…Righ’…” with a stagger she moved to the console where Diva had her necessities in the satchel. “Are you goin’ ta be alrigh’?” she questioned the ship, only to feel a force guiding her toward the door. “… Please be okay” voiced the female as the door opened and soon she walked out, the door closing behind her. Only then did she turn to the TARDIS whose form faded from sight as she relocated to heal away from prying eyes.

Immediately digging for her watch in hopes of getting a hold of her fathers but.. To her dismay, the impact had shattered its core. At the realization that for the first time in any of her travels, she was alone, completely and utterly alone. The tears welled within her eyes, her lower lip quivered. But no, no she wasn’t going to let herself become a sobbing mess. She was Kosima Oakdown, The Protector, daughter of The Doctor and The Master, they taught her well. They were survivors, and so was she. Slowly, her hands balled into fists as she drew in a deep breaths to calm herself. An inner fire burning within her psyche as the Time Lady reached up and wiped away her tears. ‘Be strong, you can do this, we have complete faith in you, My Angel.’ the words of her Ada rang through her mind, a comfort to her as a smile touched her lips “I’ll make you proud, Ada.” stuffing the watch into her satchel, Kosima pulled out her sonic screwdriver and began to scan the area to get a reading on where she was, where she’d landed.

It was a beautiful day, the sun barely crested the clouds which made the landscape look fresh and new with the morning dew. Usually, days like this meant adventure, and as for one child, he was already out and about exploring. There were rules, he couldn't go too far from the compound, and if there were any strangers he was not to talk to any of them, and to never take off his protective gear. As he was told, not many would accept him for what he was. The child wore a dark grey long-sleeved shirt, with beige gloves, long cargo pants, long socks with regular white running shoes. On his head, he wore an astronaut helmet, and under the helmet, he wore a special mask that came down to the top of his shoulders which was tucked under his shirt, that way his neck did not show. Hurrying about he was excited to be outside, but he wished he could do it without the gear, but with the astronaut helmet his father got him it made things much better. His father built him a wooden play set that looked like the interior of a spaceship, he climbed into his seat and started making different sounds. "Starting ignition! Make sure the coolant is ready!" He hopped out of his seat and ran around to look at his play ship, he had the biggest imaginations. He was allowed to be out alone once he could prove he could follow the rules, and he did, whenever anyone showed up he ran back to the compound and alerted his parents. Of course, he wanted nothing more than to see the world without always being here, but he did like where they lived. "Check!" He called out and ran back to his seat "Put on seat belts!" he pulled the straps over and locked it in "Check!" He was so distracted by what he was doing he had to take a moment to look around first because it wasn't often that people came to this area, but some did.

So he had to be on the lookout in case someone approached him from all sides. Luckily his play ship was close to the compound, so he could get up and run back to it with no problem. Slowly he reached up to the lift the visor on his helmet up just a little bit to get a clear view. Still, he had that feeling that strange feeling, but then again he could be a little paranoid with a few close calls as of late. Shutting down his visor he went back to playing again "Blast off in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!" He held onto the steering and started to shake his ship as if it was taking off, he pulled on the levers and pushed the buttons while making various beeps. "Goodbye earth, we are going to the MOON!".

When her sonic screwdriver came up with readings of other life forms, Kosima pocketed the device and searched about. Slowly, the Time Lady took in a deep breath, taking in the scent of area around her, eyes closing as she focused on the very atmosphere, getting a reading of the very energy about her. It was a habit for the Protector by now, a precaution of sorts instilled upon her by her fathers. The life forms about the planet, the oxygen, the taste of the atmosphere as she analyzed it all. Though, not as precise as her elders but still, for starting it was a good point. It was safe from what Kosima could tell. Though as she focused she could hear sounds in the far distance, a child? the joyful sounds along brought a smile to the female's lips as those eyes opened. It reminded her of home, a place she already missed so dearly. After her assessment of the area, Kosima headed off in gentle steps towards the lonely child having fun. Not to be negative in any way, though to watch such innocence enjoying themselves. The Gallifreyan had been on many travels throughout her time with her fathers, so her TARDIS had accumulated a good variety of clothing, and this day, Kosima chose a more casual comfortable look. Jeans with a ruby red sweater, one of her favorites, and after the hectic events? She needed to wear what brought her a sense of comfort. Reaching into her satchel as she traveled, she pulled out her sleek black horn-rimmed spectacles and slid them on as she looked about. It’s not like she needed them, she had perfect eyesight, but they added to her comfort level as they were a gift from her Papa, the sweater a gift from her Ada, so of course she was wearing her ‘security blankets’ during a time when she needed it most.

It didn’t take long for the Gallifreyan to reach the child, though during her trek towards him, questions began to form. One, why was the child alone? Two, were there others and if so why would they let a child go out on his own? Wasn’t it always dangerous to leave children unattended? Kosima was always will one of her parents or both when she was a young time tot, were families not as protective? She’d been watching him for a bit as he came into view, making sure to keep watch of any dangers within her peripheral field of view, just in case. The extraterrestrial hadn’t even met him yet, and was already greatly concerned. “Hello there.” Came her voice softly as she stepped into the clearing in gentle steps. “I don’ mean ta interrupt your adventure…” she’d been listening to him. “… bu’ could you tell me where I am?"

The young boy was having so much fun, that he didn't catch the sounds of footsteps coming in close, it was when he heard the voice that he let out a gasp and immediately unclamped his belt. Looking over he saw the woman, and he quickly hopped out of play ship and took off running for the compound. He was fast as he was there in no time punching away at the key remote, he unlatched the door and shut it behind him as he ran down the hall, then down a small flight of stairs. His parents taught him to do this, so he mastered it. Upon rounding the corner he smacked into his mother who eyed him carefully "What has you spooked, son?" He shook his head "Not spooked, but I saw someone so I ran...like you and papa told me to". The female smiled and patted him on his helmet "Okay, go to your father, I'll see about this person" She turned to go down the steps and head to the control room, there were monitors displaying feeds from outside. She could see the person on one of the feeds and decided to watch and observe. If they were to get any closer, she would warn them easily, as what was done before. As for the boy, he ran down the hall to his father who was hammering at something "You okay Hale?" The boy caught his breath "Yes papa, I saw someone and told mama". "Oh?" his father continued to hammer at a nail until it became flushed against the steel panel. "That's a good boy" he patted him on his shoulder, then stood up and smiled at him "I'm proud of you, you listen to instructions well. Now, let us have you take off that helmet, supper is almost ready".

Slowly he pulled his helmet off and grumbled "But I like wearing it" his father knelt down before him "But I like to see your face" he said smiling at him and playfully tapping him on his nose. Hale sighed "I wish I didn't have to hide it all the time, and I do want to play with other children that are more like me". Ben also sighed "You know you have cousins and other children to play with right?" The boy nodded "But, I'm not really like them...plus they're too rough". Itha had been watching the feed with Ben and Hale, the feeds had sound allowing she could hear everything and it did break her heart at times as if she and Ben were being selfish. This was for his own good, they had to protect him.

Ben was a tall man, standing at 6'. He had caramel skin, short dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, and a shaved beard. Still, he was short compared to his companion who was just a few inches taller than him. As for his son, Hale or Heulfryn (Hale-vrin), he looked a little like his father with a lighter complexion, he was more humanoid in appearance compared to his mother. The distinct features he had were a bit of scaling on his brow, nose, a bit on his chin, on his arms, down the back and side of his neck, and a little on his legs and he had his mother's light blue eyes. The two went off to get some food.

The compound was built on top of the Silurian lair which allowed for easy travel for the species, it was something Ben got to help with, and it was done so Ben and Itha could live together.

That action itself left Kosima blinking as she watched the boy become startled, gasp and dash off with such a speed. then again she realized that it was natural for a child to run off away from a stranger. 'Good, there is a plan for him... but that still doesn't answer my question..' were her mental thoughts as she looked toward the direction that the boy ran off to. Her senses had been on high alert so she definitely heard the keypad. Though before she even took a step further, her gaze lowered to the 'rocketship' would it be wise to just leave it here? what if it was destroyed by some unknown creature?

Kosima didn't know, she wasn't familiar with anything here and with Diva healing she had no access to the TARDI's ultimate knowledge. Reaching into her satchel, the Time Lady pulled out a small cube and pressed a button. The cube shot from her hand and hovered over the toy rocketship and began to scan it entirely before encasing it in a golden light which the item entirely faded into nothing as the cube closed up and returned to her palm. "Storage boxes come in handy." whispered the Time Lady as she tucked it back into her satchel "Now to just give him this and he won't leave it again and risk having it stolen or broken." she did always get her compassionate side from her Papa so of course she'd be merciful and kind to all creatures unless they gave her a reason not to.

The Time Lady looked about her surroundings again, trying to get a reading of a threat of any sort since her senses were on alert. After slowly turning in a full three sixty twice, Kosima then turned toward where the boy had run off and headed off in a casual walk towards the building. She had her sonic and would be able to get any door open with a few simple frequency change if things came down to it, so she wasn't worried.

It was interesting observing the individual, the female seemed lost with the way she turned around trying to take in her surroundings. Itha watched closely, she didn't need to get a hold of her husband since she could handle any threat herself. Just as the other neared the door she slowly reached over and pressed the button on the comm. "Would be best if you leave, this is private property" she stated, and it was. It was the territory and no one was really welcomed unless they were a trusted few. Itha watched intently, most of the people that got close would eventually leave. Sure, they did have some issues with the police before, but of course, it would leave Ben to explain that he owned it which he did and to prove it with documents. Since then the police just leave them be, those there are even signs set near it to warn people of trespassing.

Heulfryn had just finished eating his meal and ran out the kitchen to see what his mother was up to, he slowed down and walked up to the door and poked his head inside "Ma--" "Shhh, son, go back to your father" she spoke in a hushed tone. Hale's curiosity peaked when he saw the woman on screen "She's still here?" he walked in and stood next to her watching. Itha didn't always like him being in there with her, she would at times use foul language or some choice words that included disemboweling the person. They weren't all true, but it was her way of threatening them to leave their property. "Hale" Itha looked at him "Go, now, please?" Hale pouted "But can't I watch?" "Heulfryn" she said in a slightly stern tone "Please?" Sighing he slowly left the room, but he didn't quite leave fully and quietly hid outside the door. "I know you're there". "Aww...." Hale groaned and walked off. He wanted to get a good luck at the woman, she didn't seem like a threat, but he was trained to run away. He did feel bad for doing it, he wished he could have helped her since she was trying to ask him where she was. It left him feeling suspicious on the matter, the way she asked him made it seem like she really had no clue on where she was. There were signs on the road.

Kosima had walked up to the door, though before she could even make an attempt at making conversation and explain she was told to leave. "With how the lad ran off." she began "I take it tha' threats are a common thin'." probably not the best way of beginning a conversation, but.. she had in fact traveled with her Ada more than her Papa. "It's good tha' he was trained to, as there are many dangers in the universe." she should know, her Ada was one in his past. It was noted that the Gallifreyan still enjoyed conversation, even when she wasn't welcomed, she still talked. "I don' happen ta be one o' them, I jus' need answers... You see I was separated from my Father, an' my only form o' communication was severed when my communicator was broken upon the impact o' landin'. I'm no' askin' ta be let in, I just need ta know where I am, can you please provide me with tha' information?" stubborn like her parents, she wasn't about leave, not yet, not without at least trying to get some bit of information on where she'd landed.

Itha heard everything she said, but what was being said left her with questions "Communicator?" she asked, then went on to speak again "Where are you from, might I ask?" The Silurian seemed very focused, she knew something was off about this individual, a feeling she was having since she first saw them on the feed. By now Ben had entered the room to see what Itha was up to, he walked in right when she asked where the person was from. Ben looked at the monitor "Why would she come all the way out here?" he asked with a slight frown, it left him suspicious. People just don't venture straight out there, or merely stumble on it, unless they are searching for something, or looking for trouble. "I guess we should put up electrical fences?" he chuckled a bit then noticed Itha not smiling as she stared at the monitor. "She spoke of a communicator". Ben blinked "Perhaps she means her cellphone, or needs to borrow a radio?" "No...." Itha frowned at him "You know that is a strange thing to ask, we both do. No one calls those things a communicator Ben". The man looked back at the monitor, he was trying to find something that would give him a clue on how far away this person came.

A deep breath was drawn in from the female as she tried her best o keep her composure. "Yes, my communicator, it's how I keep in contact with my parents. I don' have the tools ta fix it a' the moment. I don' have any way o' contactin' 'em. I'm alone, for the first time in my entire life, I'm all alone an' I'm bloody...terrified." Kosima could feel her composure slipping and drew in a deep breath, using her Papa's training techniques, the brunette did what she could to calm enough to answer the following question. "I'm from a planet very far away from here, I honestly didn't think I'd wind up on a planet like this." the only reason she knew the difference was because of the oxygen levels as well as the density and atmosphere as a whole. It was much different than she was used to. "the only reason I know tha' it's so far from my home is because the air is different, it smells an' tastes different. oxygen levels.." bouncing on the balls and heels of her of her feet "gravity is a bit differen.. an'.." tongue to her index fingertip for a moment before she held it up and began to read her surroundings again, getting another reading. "If I'd have ta guess, this planet could be either Sontaran based.." she was mentally deducting "then again no.. I'm off. their type of planet has a much much thicker density than this from experience travelin' with my father ... tha' an' ya don' talk like one. I don' mean ta seem as if I'm judgin' bu' I have me' a Sontaran through my father.. an' I have also met other beings o' different races." her mind was weeding through her knowledge from books. "Now.. I've never been ta many o' the planets I've read 'bout. bu' this one seems very close ta wha' I'd assume a Silurian planet or an Osiran planet.. would be but no. no the Osirans are extinct and I don' remember for the Silurians..." she trailed off but then quickly snapped upwards "an' if tha' offends I'm sorry.. I am so sorry.. I didn' mean ta!!" Well, it was certain, she definitely picked up her Papa's trait of talking a lot.

There was a moment of silence for the two who were in the monitor room. Ben's face seemed to light up "D...do you think this could be a time lord?" Itha frowned, but it wasn't that she was upset, or confused (maybe a little), but she was thinking and processing. "She knows of us Ben, for all we know she could also be an enemy". "Itha...come on, she is frightened, did you not hear it in her voice? Her voice changed, she's scared. You know that deep down you do". Itha was just paranoid for the sake of her family and people, and she knew that Ben was right "Ok, let her in...we'll help her then she'll be on her way". Ben smiled and hurried out, he walked around to the metal stairs when he saw Heulfryn standing there looking at him with his helmet on "Can I come too, Papa?" Ben placed a gentle hand on his helmet "No son, go stay with your mother okay?" with a sigh the boy slowly walked off. For Ben, this was a big moment. It had to be a time lord, the last time he met The Doctor was when he was rescued, but he got to know of his stories, but this was ten years ago. There were others like him, he knew about that since he remembered being inside the TARDIS and being overwhelmed by the technology. As he was remembering all this he found himself standing right at the heavy bolted door. Clearing his throat, Ben went to punch in some codes before unsealing it just enough for him to look through. Upon inspection of the individual on the other side he opened it a little more "...Are you...are you a Time Lord?" he asked hoping he was right.

There had been no answer and that caused Kosima's shoulders to slump a tad as worry swept through her, had she burned the only bridge of contact? Though she could sense an energy beyond the door nearing and soon her gaze lifted to look toward the door as it opened. A look of surprised crossed the brunette's features, her glasz hues widening a tad with said shock, but soon a gentle smile tugged its way upon her lips. Though hearing the question caused her eyes to light up as that smile broadened into a grin "So, you know o' Time Lords? Oh, tha's a relief." were her first words. "I've recently graduated, so yes, I am, though if I'm being quite technical, Time Lady." but she waved off her own correction before extending her hand "Hello there, it's a pleasure ta meet you, I'm The Protector." this was actually happening and soon she hummed contentedly. Who was she kidding? The Protector was beyond thrilled at this point. From the positive vibes she was reading off this.. human? the energy levels weren't as strong as other extraterrestrials but this was the first time that Kosima had ever met a human so she didn't have another energy other than extraterrestrials to compare it to. Honestly, Kosima was just grateful that she gained his morals rather than her Ada's. Compassion for other beings as a whole, yet still had the knowledge of beings that were sinister. Though what she felt from this man, he seemed friendly and that was a comfort to the internally rattled Time Lady.

Once she confirmed his suspicion he had the biggest smile, and also extended his hand out to her "The Protector?" he blinked a bit then chuckled "Interesting name you got there, well come in" he stood back allowing her to come through. "You are far from home, welcome to earth then. The last first and last time I laid eyes on a Time Lord would be about 12 years ago" he stated. Once she got in he would close and lock the door, before leading her down the small hall and down the steps. "I recall him going by the moniker The Doctor" he smiled, he seemed excited this was happening again. "Don't mind me, just a simple man that finds it fascinating to meet another species...especially another Time Lo-Lady" he corrected himself. Just as he rounded the corner there stood Itha as she looked at the female with a stern expression, she sniffed her then her expression softened. "You are far from home". Ben smiled wide "Itha, this is a-" "A Time Lord" she finished his words for him "She smells like him..." she trailed as she stepped back to let them by. Ben just shook his head "I do apologize for her, she can at times be Brash, especially to strangers". But it wasn't that, Itha wasn't angry or upset, but concerned. Heulfryn poked his head out from the room to see who the lady was. It was hard to stay hidden with the helmet on, but never showing his face to anyone outside the compound made it very nerve-wracking.

Ben took her to the living space, for her to have a seat. "So, your communicator is broken, right? I think we could possibly get that fixed for you". Itha walked in after them and went to sit down, she looked at The Protector, but her eyes were gentle and kind. Of course, she came off as a little mean at first, but she was also a protective mother and spouse. "If not, perhaps we can let her use some of what we have to get it working. We Silurians are quite advanced".

A faint tint of rouge rose in the surface of her cheeks at his questioning, but she meekly nodded; a bit embarrassed. As he stood aside and let her in, she gave a nod of thanks before entering. "Wait.. wha'? this is Earth?" her features contorted into that of confusion. Though before she could question again, he began with answering her question, hearing that this human had in fact met her Papa, her eyes twinkled with delight. "Oh no worries at all, I get jus' as excited when I meet other bein's well." though as they turned the corner, glasz hues met the Silurian as she smiled. "again, no need ta apologize, I understand ta an extent why she's so protective an' on guard. Family is everythin'."

Noticing the helmet peeking out, Kosima gave a smile and a gentle wave before following Ben as he lead her to the living space where she moved to take a seat. "Yes, upon crash landin' here, the impact sent me flyin' across the console room o' my TARDIS an' it internally shattered, I believe. Been havin' trouble with it for a time. It hasn' worked since my run in with the Vespine Clan, bloody bandits." she grumbled then gasped realizing her 'swear' "Oh! sorry! slip o' the tongue." she cleared her throat. "Back ta wha' I was sayin'. The communicator broke bu' my father fixed it. an' earlier today I realized tha' he somehow managed ta fix it without me knowin'... again." the brunette smiled proudly. "He's good a' tha'." she smiled softly in remembrance. "Though now, it's broken again. I would have been able ta fix, bu' my screwdriver is a bit damaged an' I los' tha' frequency, sadly." hearing Itha she gave a smile and nodded. "If I can ge' my sonic fixed then I'll be able ta ge' my communicator up an' runnin' again. Check in with my Father, knowin' him he's prolly a worried  mess."

Ben smiled big when she spoke a little about herself, the nerd in him would come out every now and then. It was when she spoke about her father and her equipment he started to feel bad for her. "May I see your screwdriver?" he wasn't sure if he could fix it, but it wouldn't hurt to take a look. "Don't go crazy Ben, remember she'll want it fixed". Ben scowled at Itha who was smirking at him, she then stood up and nodded to The Protector "Are you hungry, or thirsty?" she asked. Soon, Hale was by the doorway peeking into the living space, he had crawled on his hands and knees to avoid detection by the guest. Itha knew he was there and didn't call him out since she didn't think he was ready to meet anyone. Ben caught a glimpse and didn't say anything either, no reason to make him uncomfortable, and suffer the wrath of his mate. "Not to pry, but was your father The Doctor?" He was curious, but he did really want to help her.

As he spoke of wanting to see her screwdriver, Kosima's brows rose, she was very particular on who got to handle her sonic. But figured, they were generous enough to take her in and help, Not wanting to seem rude, the extraterrestrial reached into her sweater pocket, pulling out the her sonic screwdriver and handing it over in a slow and delicate manner. Though when Itha arose, the brunette turned her attention to the female and smiled giving a soft nod "Jus' a bi' thirsty, so a glass o' water is fine, thank you." When it came to the lad, the Time Lady could definitely sense his energy and knew he'd gotten closer from where he last was. Another thing Kosima gained from her Papa was the ability to be able to sense and read energies. it's why she was learning to be more on guard and more aware of her surroundings.As Ben spoke again, her attention was turned his way. His question caused her eyes to twinkle as a genuine smile tugged upon her lips. "The Doctor, yes, he is my father." Kosima's Sonic:

Watching her remove the screwdriver out of her pocket, his eyes lit up once he laid eyes on it. "Wow...that is some tool" he carefully took it, almost cradling it like a baby between his fingers. " I...I'll see what I can come up with" he walked out of the room and went to his study. Itha did return with a glass of water, she walked over and gently handed it to her "I knew you had to be close to The Doctor, though I do find it interesting that he would settle. He did not seem like the type to do that". She looked over to see Heulfryn camped outside the door, she sighed and ushered for him to come in. The boy shook his head and backed away to hide, he was just being shy. This made the Silurian smile and nearly grin, it amused her how her son could behave at times. "So you must know about us Silurians then? Though, I highly doubt you know everything...but you do know that we have existed long before humans right?" she went to have a seat while asking her question. She wasn't threatening, she was trying to hold a conversation. Eventually, Heulfryn was in the room, he had crawled slowly in behind the chair The Protector was in, he was trying to prepare himself for facing off with this new stranger.

Itha raised a brow in the direction "Pardon my son, he's ...a bit shy, he has never really met anyone outside this compound. Hale, be a nice boy and say hello" she wanted to try and help him feel brave. "I'm not ready" he whispered, but his voice came out muffled. "Come, she is no threat and you know that". With some hesitation, Heulfryn crawled from behind the chair and stood up, he hurried over to sit next to his mother on the couch. "Say hello, please use your manners". He turned to The Protector and took a breath before exhaling slowly "Hi..." then he sat down and clung to his mother's arm. Itha just shook her head, then she rubbed his back. "Sometimes I wonder if I spoil him too much, he's my only child. Your father would be beside himself I'm sure if he found out that it is indeed possible for a Human and Silurian to have a child. I know it was a shock to my people when it did happen...so much can be learned". She went to unsnap his helmet, and felt his little hands grab hers "No mama, don't!" "It is okay Hale, I trust her, and so should you". She slowly removed the helmet which exposed part of his face, but he quickly buried it into his mother's arm.

Moments later Ben returned with a puzzled look on his face "This is some piece of tech you got here, nothing I have ever seen before. I don't think the Silurian tech could crack something like this". Itha looked over at him with a furrowed brow "Have you tried?" Ben rubbed the back of his head while holding up the screwdriver "Actually I did use the analyzer to see if it could read anything on it, and nothing. This is beyond technology". Hale peeked from his mother's arm for a moment then he thought of something "Daddy, what if you use the other thing". Ben blinked "What other thing? And Itha...you took off his helmet?" he didn't really want to confuse anything. Hale nodded, then he shyly pulled away from his mother "Why not hook it into the reactor? You said it generates a lot of power, maybe it needs a recharge like a battery".

Itha and Ben looked at each other, then back to Heulfryn with a smile "Perhaps that could work?" Itha turned to The Protector "It could be dangerous, the reactor might go unstable". Ben nodded "It could, but I have fail-safes in place should anything go wrong if it overloads I can easily divert the energy. What do you say The Protector? Worth a shot?"

Hearing Ben's reaction to her sonic, a proud grin tugged at her lips "Thank you, it's the first model I built all on my lonesome. Though, my father did check it over ta make sure it worked properly. bu' still the first I am proud ta call it my own without 'im tamperin' with it." so yes, that specific sonic screwdriver was precious to the young Time Lady. When he walked off and Itha neared with the glass of water, Kosima nodded her thanks as she reached for it and took a sip.

"My father 'as always been one who was very particular... on those 'e truly connects with on ... tha' type o' level." she pondered a moment, remembering the banter between her fathers and how unlike it was with the Doctors other companions. "Can... get 'out o' hand' at times and is jus' a 'wild card' as I've heard others describe him." Mainly her Ada's words, honestly. "As fer settlin' down. In terms o' the family. 'e's always been one ta 'ave company, always took companions along fer adventures. I spent a lo' o' my time with 'im. Met quite a bit o' different beins includin' humans"

When Itha questioned, the Protector gave a nod "Yes, though I 'ave never met one o' yer kind until today. I 'ave read 'bout 'em in books. Scrolls within the libraries." Listening to that end statement, Kosima gave a nod “I wasn’ aware o’ tha’ but.. tha’s similar ta Gallifreyans who ‘ave been ‘round fer so long. Much longer b’fore ‘uman existence, even b’fore time itself was documentable.” She should know those facts like the back of her hand, those teachings were brutal. But she was getting off topic and gave a light shake her head “Sorry.. teachin’s a’ the Academy are ‘ard ta not ‘ave slip through…”

As the hybrid finally was within the room, glasz hues moved to focus on him a moment, letting the two interact in silence as she smiled gently in understanding. Remembering how she used to hide behind the coats of her fathers’ when meeting new beings. When he finally did say hi, the Time Lady grinned “'ello there, nice ta meet you.” Though hearing Itha’s words, the Protector gave a nod in understanding. “As fer bein’ spoiled… Weelll…” much a way of talking due to her Papa’s mannerisms. “I too am an only child, would ge' ghastly nervous when meetin’ new bein’s an’ often 'ide be'ind Father’s coat. So, I understand where yer son is comin’ from.”

Though as the helmet was removed, the Time Lady smiled and caught a glimpse of his features before it was hidden in his mother’s arm. When Ben returned, Kosima’s brows furrowed “Normally, I’d be quite ‘appy ta ‘ear tha’, bu’... no’ in this situation…” a soft sigh escaped her. Though, as their son gave his solution, the Time Lady’s brows rose in surprise before she looked to him a smile. “Tha’s definitely a solution you thought o’ there. Quite brilliant actually.” Her smile tugged into a grin before it faded a fraction, realizing the actual dilemma. “I’m jus’ worried it may drain yer tech... as the sonic screwdriver is one, ‘ard ta crack, an' two… it stores energy like a beast… oh.. if only m’TARDIS were 'ealed an' charged.. this wouldn’ be an issue.. but yes.. we can try it.. jus' .. please be cautious. I don’ want it ta drain your power supplies as we know tha’ can dangerous.”

Heulfryn smiled from ear to ear feeling proud of himself, it seemed the things he was taught were paying off, which was a concern for Ben with the lack of outside world interference. Ben smiled "Well, let us give it a try...wait, your Tardis?" he thought a minute, then he remembered The Doctor referencing to his when he was helped. "....Hmm" he started to think for a moment "Would your screwdriver be able to mend it? If not, we could probably focus power into your Tardis?" Itha raised a brow "Ben...that would be beyond dangerous, it could cause a nuclear bomb effect? You mad?" Ben just smiled sheepishly "It was just a thought, my intentions aren't to wipe out half the planet". Heulfryn walked up to them and looked up "She said it can store power like a beast, her screwdriver might fix it". The two just looked down at him "Yes dear, it is possible, but we don't know" the boy scowled a bit "Then we test it, that's what scientists do. She just wants to go home". He turned to look at The Protector. Ben just rubbed the back of his head "We have to discuss this with The Protector since it is hers". Itha then motioned for them to follow "The reactor we have is of Silurian technology, and it is far more powerful than what humans have built". "Hey now, you have to give credit, my race has done quite a bit for ourselves". Itha smirked "Oh, of course, love. You know I like to play". Heulfryn had followed them out and stood next to The Protector, she felt safe to be around, and he thought she was a nice woman, she made him feel like he was near his mother.
